The Small Business Advocacy Council and Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce invite you to join our virtual meeting with elected officials: 
US Congress Representative Sean Casten - Democratic member of Congress that has represented the 6th District since 2019. The district covers southwestern Chicago, as well as many of Chicago's inner southwestern suburbs, such as Downers Grove, Wheaton, Lisle, Orland Park, and Western Springs. Rep. Casten sits on both the House Financial Services Committee and the Joint Economic Committee. He also serves as Vice-Chair of the Sustainable Energy and Environment Coalition.  As a scientist, clean energy entrepreneur and CEO, and now as a Member of Congress representing the western suburbs of Chicago, Congressman Sean Casten has dedicated his life to fighting climate change. Rep. Casten draws upon his previous private sector experience in Congress to craft market-based solutions to reduce emissions while creating jobs and spurring economic growth.

US Congress Representative Delia Ramirez - Democratic member of Congress that represents the 3rd District of  as the first Latina elected to Congress in Illinois and the entire Midwest. She currently serves on the Committee for Veterans Affairs and is the Vice-Ranking Member of the Committee on Homeland Security. Having spent nearly two decades in the nonprofit sector, Representative Ramirez understands the challenges working people face every day, which is why she is a staunch advocate of housing as a human right, healthcare for all, climate justice, and the fight to preserve and protect our democracy. Previously served in the Illinois General Assembly as State Representative of the 4th District.

During this event, Glen Ellyn’s legislators will have the opportunity to address the local business community, provide updates on legislative progress on the Federal level, and answer questions about issues that matter most to the Glen Ellyn chamber members. The Small Business Advocacy Council will serve as the moderator for the discussion.
