Join Chicago architect and Director of Works for the 1893 Columbian Exposition, Daniel Burnham, for a relaxing day at the fair.  The Glen Ellyn Historical Society presents historian and actor, Terry Lynch as Burnham in the Glen Ellyn History Center 800 N. Main Street on Saturday, April 12 at 2:00 PM.  Experience the grandeur of the Columbian Exposition and learn about its origins, exhibits, politics and people involved in creating Burnham’s White City.  This program leads us through the history of the “Windy City,” and its transformation from the “Wild Onion” to the “City of big Shoulders.”  Admission is FREE for GEHS members and kids, $10 for nonmembers.  Call 630-469-1867 and check the website, www.gehs.org
